THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS
RESEARCH
Before applying, research our philosophy of education. We encourage you to do your homework. We strongly suggest For the Children’s Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay, Narration and Retelling by Shannon R. Whiteside, and to preview the Alveary curriculum to get your feet wet.
READ
Before applying, read RCA’s Admissions document. This pdf file is imperative to understand before committing to our community.
APPLY
Complete an online application. Please apply early as classes will fill up quickly. There is a non-refundable $125 application processing fee per family.
ATTEND
Attend a Parent Interview. After your application has been received, someone from the admissions committee will contact you to set up an interview.
COMMIT
Once you have received your letter of enrollment, you will be asked to complete the Community Commitment Form.
COMMUNITY
Once you’ve completed the Commitment Form, signed the Financial Agreement, and paid the commitment fees, you are officially part of the Redwood community.
"“Redwood has been such a blessing to our family because we have the support and care of a local homeschool community, meaningful friendships for our children, and wonderful teachers”
- HOMESCHOOL MOM OF 5
“I love the way my daughter makes connections between what she is learning at RCA and what she experiences in ‘real life.’ My daughter loves the folk dancing, literature, and the long nature walks.”
- HOMESCHOOL MOM OF 4
“Redwood offers the type of education we are looking for: learning through stories, reading Shakespeare, classical music study and nature walks…and all under the umbrella of a Christian worldview! Our son has learned and grown so much, and we can’t wait to sign him up for next year!”
