Anna Kvale

Seeds Mentor

Anna grew up as the daughter of missionaries; although her childhood was punctuated by many moves between Indonesia, the Philippines, and rural Minnesota, she and her sisters found grounding in a rich home education. After graduation she studied at Capernwray Bible School in Lancashire, UK, then attended New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, ID. There she fell in love -- with classical Christian education and with a certain classmate, Evan. Anna and Evan have been married for 2.5 years, and have an 8 month old daughter, Onalee Jayne. Anna and her husband are studying at Covenant Theological Seminary. Anna loves taking long walks, reading classic literature and theology, baking sourdough bread, singing chorally, cooking for friends, and spending as much time as possible helping on the family farm in Minnesota, planting, tending, harvesting, and feasting in community.

Catherine Burton

Catherine was born and raised in St. Louis, spending half of her life in the country before returning to the city five years ago. She grew up in a vibrant, Christ-centered family, surrounded by relatives who love Jesus sincerely and without pretense. She joyfully added her husband to that rich family heritage this year.
For fourteen years, Catherine worked in the faith, commercial, and reality film industry, taking on a wide variety of roles. She is now grateful to be part of the quiet, soulful, and foundational work of Redwood. Catherine brings with her a deep love for her faith, the arts, craftsmanship, literature, and the enduring traditions that draw us back to God as Creator, Sustainer, and Savior.

Jes Oldham

Form 2 Mentor

Jes was born in St. Louis, but was raised in Alabama with her four siblings. She spent most of her twenties quite literally globe-trotting—teaching middle school in Japan, working as an au pair in Germany, and most recently spending two years in Ireland serving the local church there. In 2018, she returned to St. Louis to attend Covenant Seminary, where she studied Apologetics with the intention of going back to Ireland. However, God had other plans and brought her now-husband, Luke, into her life in 2021. They’ve been married for three years and have a one-year-old daughter, Eleanor. Jes loves creating beauty through DIY projects, having deep conversations over coffee, and running.

Nathan Huskey

Form 3 Mentor

Nathan has been married to his wife, Laura, for twelve years, and together they homeschool their five children. A homeschool graduate himself, he considers it a gift to continue that legacy with his own family. Before stepping into full-time family life and homeschooling, Nathan worked in a variety of creative and vocational fields that deepened his love for learning and meaningful work.
He enjoys foraging, playing music, writing, reading both old thinkers and new, and jumping into a fun game with his kids whenever he can. Above all, Nathan loves Christ, the Church, and people, and finds great joy in watching the quiet work of Jesus as He builds His Kingdom.
