WISE IN GOD'S WAYS

WELCOME TO REDWOOD CLASSICAL ACADEMY
YOU BELONG HERE.
Redwood was born out of a deep love for Christ, children, and the Christian home and from a very real understanding of how heavy and holy the calling of home education can feel. Redwood exists because I believe, with my whole heart, that God is at work in families who choose this path, and that they deserve encouragement, rest, and community along the way.
From the beginning, my prayer for Redwood has been simple but bold: that it would be a place where Christ is at the center, children are known as persons, and parents feel strengthened rather than burdened. We are not trying to rush children through childhood or parents through formation. We are trying to walk faithfully, patiently, and joyfully trusting that the Lord is doing far more than we can see.
Redwood is not built on efficiency or scale, but on relationships. We believe education is deeply formative, and that what happens around the kitchen table matters just as much as what happens in the classroom.

Our role is not to replace the home, but to come alongside it & to offer beauty, ideas, structure, and companionship for the journey.
If you are here, it tells me something important about you:
You care deeply about your children.
You are willing to listen for God’s leading.
You are not afraid to choose a slower, more intentional way.
That is sacred ground.
My hope is that Redwood would become a place where your family feels known, supported, and at peace and where your children grow wise in God’s ways, delight in His world, respond with joyful service, and celebrate life with His people.
Thank you for trusting us enough to take this step.
We are honored to walk with you.
In gratitude & great hope,
Beth Werkheiser
Executive Director

It's time to get started.
“Unless the Lord builds the house…” (Psalm 127:1)
Before anything else, we want you to know this:
Your family is prayed for.
We pray for wisdom, rest, courage, and joy for home educators.
We pray for students to become wise in God’s ways, delight in His world, respond with joyful service, and celebrate life with His people.
We pray that Redwood would strengthen & not burden your home.
As you begin this journey with us, we invite you to pause, breathe, and remember that God is already at work.

COMMUNITY STARTS NOW
We invite you to step into community right away.
First step in joining RCA's community is to download the Redwood App (make sure to turn on notificaitons) to stay informed and engaged with upcoming Enrichment Day events and community rhythms. Families are also warmly invited to Stay & Play, held on the first Thursday of each month, a relaxed time to linger after drop-off, connect with others, and let students play together.
These spaces are intentionally low-pressure and high-connection, created to help relationships grow naturally. Redwood is more than a program, it is a community of families walking faithfully together. We are glad you’re here, and we can’t wait to welcome you in.
