FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
First day of school - August 27th, Tuesday 9 am- 3 pm
Hooray!
The drop-off doors open at 8:45 am
You may park and walk your child in on the first day! Please try to arrive before 9 am if you’d like to do so.
If you have any medical forms and/or medication to drop off, please come inside and speak with Kim Kuntz. Have your child’s medication in a labeled Ziploc bag.
We will have some uniforms available for purchase if you need one for your child to wear immediately on the first day.
Your child only needs to bring to school is a cold lunch (no microwaves available), a simple snack & a water bottle labeled with their name. Please remember when packing food we are a nut-free campus.
Students are not allowed to bring any cell phones, smart watches, Ipads to campus.
If you have your completed monthly withdrawal banking form and have it ready to hand in, you can give it to Kim Kuntz.
Your children in Forms 1-3 will be assigned their locker on the first day. Lockers will be a space for them to keep their backpacks (which aren’t necessary), a water bottle that remains at school, a spare change of clothing.
Pickup will take place between 3 pm and 3:10 pm. Please place your family name parking tag in your passenger-side car window (NOT your windshield - we can’t see it!). If you don’t yet have your family name parking tag, see Kim Kuntz at morning drop-off.

FINANCIALS, DETAILS & REMINDERS
Tuition: $2900 yearly tuition per student. Choose to pay in full or enroll in 11 automated payments July-May.
If you have been paying by check, you may not see your online balance affected for up to 10 business days. Checks are deposited immediately, and yet Redwood’s part-time accountant has to enter them into our system only once a month. Thank you for your patience.
You may choose to:
- Pay the year’s tuition in full due immediately
- Pay in monthly payments via automatic bank transfer set on the 15th of every month to be set up at the open house or orientation * If you’d like to continue to pay your tuition in monthly payments, please bring a voided check (we really just need your account and routing number if you don’t have a check) & we will provide you with the necessary paperwork.
*After August, we will no longer be accepting any tuition payments made by check, cash, or HomeschoolLife! If you’d like to use any of these forms of payment, please do so immediately! After this month, Redwood will only be accepting tuition payments through automatic monthly bank withdrawals & all other payments (uniforms, enrichment days, supply fee) through Venmo. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we transition to these newer, simpler financial systems!
UNIFORMS
$18 and will be paid only through Venmo @RedwoodClassicalAcademy. Redwood uniforms from previous school years certainly may be worn this year! Feel free to bring in old uniform shirts that no longer fit to see if you can exchange them for a new size at our “gently used” t-shirt table. Please know that you can purchase uniforms in the office or through Lands End at any time throughout the year. Also, we almost always have gently-used uniforms available that you can have for an any-sized donation.
enrichment days
ENRICHMENT DAYS (Redwood Field Trips!):
Enrichment days are field trip times spent exploring further learning together, held off campus, hosted by RCA, and open to the public. Please invite family, friends, neighbors to help celebrate our love of learning!
Dates & information can be found here: Enrichment+Days.pdf
We encourage you to read this document to find out more about these events prior to registering!
Registration for September 18th Daniel Boone Homeschool Day! Pack a picnic lunch, bring a stroller/wagon & friends. Register to come anytime in the morning & then stay all day!
Registration for Missouri Botanical Gardens Class!
You can dig around on the website & select the morning class if that’s your preference! If you are a member of the Garden, remember to sign in before registering & the class will be free. We are listing multiple class dates & times because the class size is small and we’d love many to participate. These classes are public, not exclusively a Redwood event. My family so enjoys these Garden experiences that we will attend on Sept 20 and Oct 18th! - Kim Kuntz
Registration for October 28th Day Camp at Camp Wyman & February 27&28th Winter Overnight Camp will open in a few weeks! Stay tuned!
school supplies
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: School supplies are not needed to be purchased by families this year! The $75 supply fee per student covers all curriculum & in-school art and classroom supplies. This fee is due August 31 and can be paid via check or Venmo @RedwoodClassicalAcademy
enrollment
ENROLLMENT: It’s not too late to share Redwood with friends! We have only a few open seats available for immediate enrollment, and ideally, we’d love for families to jump in before the start of the year! Have interested folks contact Kim Kuntz immediately!
